MISSION STATEMENT

Sage Theatre produces evocative professional theatre in an intimate environment. We are passionate about providing local theatre professionals and talented emerging artists with opportunities to tell stories that speak to the human condition.

ARTISTIC VISION

Play selection: Plays produced by Sage Theatre are plays that are not commonly seen elsewhere in our city. We place emphasis on Canadian work, but do not limit ourselves to this, and quite often chose plays from the international canon that are new to Calgary audiences. We choose to produce evocative work that solicits a strong emotional response.

Intimacy: Sage Theatre performs in a very intimate theatre where the audience is literally feet away from the action. We embrace this intimacy, inviting our audiences to "Get Closer" while we inspire their imagination and create a unique and intimate environment in which the audience feels like they are inside the world of the play.
