Meg Braem
Meg Braem is a writer/actor with a BFA from Uvic. Her play Self Kelp won Best Show for the Uvic Student Alternative Theatre 2003 season. In 2005, she wrote Potentilla, which was produced in the Victoria Fringe as the Petri Dish New Play Contest Winner. It earned Pick Of The Fringe for Best Drama and Critic's Choice Award. Meg premiered The Year of Falling Down at the 2006 Victoria Fringe Festival. In 2007, Meg wrote Prior Engagement for Out of The Box and won The News (Playwrights Theatre Centre's search for up and coming playwrights). Meg has performed with Atomic Vaudeville, Theatre BOMBUS, The Belfry, W.H.O.S, Kokoro Dance and U of Calgary. Her newest play The Josephine Knot was premiered at The Belfry Theatre's Festival '08. Meg is completing her MFA in Playwriting at U of C.
