Mike Unrau has had several of his plays staged including IGNITE!’s production of Beauty Herself is Black, about Shakespeare’s ‘dark lady.’ His recent work follows a physical approach, after studying clown in an Australian circus and Grotowski actions in Poland. He has won several awards for writing including a Toronto Hart House playwriting award, and sends his excitement to be part of IGNITE! from India, where he’s currently doing a theatre project.
