Did you know that over 150 people volunteer their time and energy as part of the Sage Family?  Do you know why?

Well, we asked our volunteers.  Turns out that volunteering with Sage Theatre is a guaranteed way to Get Closer!  Get closer to the fun.  Get closer to amazing creative energy.  Get closer to a group of friends you'll treasure for the rest of your life.

In the process you'll learn lots of new skills, find an easy way to support the arts, or perhaps explore a new career.

Your time commitment can be minimal, and the benefits are terrific.  Even better is the feeling of being appreciated!  Since its inception, Sage Theatre has relied on volunteers.  People like you are an essential part of our success and, frankly, we can't do it without you.

So, do you want to Get Closer?  Go behind the scenes?  Then check out all the opportunities we have for you and fill out a volunteer application form.

Our volunteer coordinator will get back to you in about a week to set up an interview.

Dale: "Volunteer ushering is one of the best kept secrets of the theatre community. For a small time commitment - see free theatre, meet people behind-the-scenes, receive advance notice about upcoming productions, make new friends and have a new skill on your resume. Sometimes, you even get free drinks, t-shirts or invitations to parties. Did I mention awesome FREE THEATRE?!"

Jillian: "What volunteering at Sage Theatre means to me: There is not even one hint of hesitation to say yes every time I get an email asking for volunteers at Sage Theatre. It's been three seasons now, and from 2007 - now, I am always amazed by the generosity, the friendliness, and the incredible work and love that go into each production. I have been a patron, an actor and a volunteer with Sage Theatre, but volunteering is always the most rewarding."

Andrew: "Sage is top shelf theatre produced by a talented, passionate and welcoming team of staff and volunteers. I love being a part of it. I volunteered my help for the annual fundraising Gala last year. I liked the people and their vision so much that I continued to volunteer and am now a board member. Volunteering gives you the chance to contribute in a vital way to the success of a respected and energizing force in Calgary's arts scene."
